Our poster is a bit to the side, but already after 15 minutes I’ve had many good conversations with people from as far as Israel.
Based on these discussions, there’s definitely a need for Edukata. That is, a proper design approach to schools. Many have expressed their interest to spread the word, train new people and have them train others in the design of learning activities. Some are just waiting for the final Edukata so they can start!
I’m hosting a workshop later today (15:00 CEST) on Edukata, learning activities and design. If you’re attending, come to workshop 3 if this topic interests you.
As a side note, the currently available Edukata guide book is still in beta, but ready for use. The iTEC pilots in November to December 2013 will be the first major test of Edukata, and based on those experiences, the guide book will be improved early 2014, and then localized to numerous European languages.
You can download the PDF from edukata.fi. Participants of the Every Classroom a Future Classroom event have a copy of Edukata on their USB sticks, and I’m also giving out printed booklets in the exhibition area during today and tomorrow.
