Edukata is based on a research-based design approach, developed by the Learning Environments research group in Media Lab Helsinki, in Aalto University, Finland, lead by professor Teemu Leinonen. The approach has been successfully used to design digital tools for learning. Edukata is an adaptation of that method for educators to design learning activities for their own educational context.
Edukata has been developed by a team of designers, researchers and teachers. It draws on the best educational design experience available, and is based on pedagogical principles founded in the teaching culture of Finland, Europe.
