Edukata rollout in Finland confirmed

Tarmo Toikkanen · Apr 7, 2015 · Leave a Comment

It’s always a challenge to move from a project (that developed Edukata) to a sustained long-term existence. I’m glad to report that the Finnish Board of Education has granted funds for the Future Classroom Network in Finland, which will start rolling out the Future Classroom Toolkit and Edukata, first in five schools, later within five school networks in Finland, targeting everything from teacher-training schools and public schools to private schools.

Here’s a short video from a pre-workshop we organized with teachers from those five schools. A very current topic in Finland is the new national elementary school curriculum frame, which steps into effect in the fall of 2016. Most schools need to figure out how to implement that new new curriculum frame in practice. Seems like a perfect case for the FC toolkit and Edukata.
